This past summer we decided to stop talking about going camping with friends and actually do it! We had it all planned out and rented to go camp at Lake Texoma. Then the week before, the lake was shut down due to no rain for almost 5 months, some poisonous algae had begun to grow in it (gross!) so we had to figure out a plan B! We found a lake in Oklahoma that was still open and rush up there to get a stop before it was full. After some minor issues (flat tire on the boat trailer, then no tools to fix it and no spare..) we got there 6 hours later :) The first night it was just us and Jay. We set everything up and got the boat in the water and went for a quick spin. Then watched a beautiful sunset!
The site that we got was probably the best in the park b/c we could put out boat in and have it ties up on the beach behind us, and the beach for swimming was right on the other side of us! We spent the next few days swimming, boating, tubing and having a blast! We brought the girls to the playground a few times and they played in the dirt a lot. Its a good thing we have a camper with a shower cause those girls were covered! We all got pretty tan and slept really good all weekend!
