So yesterday i went out back to clean up Sophia's toys and everything. Got them all together and opened up the bench that Jake built to put the toys away. As I lifted the lid something black and hairy ran to the other side. It scared the crap put of me and i immediately started yelling "HOMIE! What the hell are you doing??!! Get inside!" So i went to the backdoor and there was homie sitting there. I shut the door while yelling at him somemore, and then went back to cleaning. Then i smelled something funny by the bench....so i went and looking in the other side (VERY carefully mind you). There was a tail. A long balck tail. So once again i went inside to see where Homie was. On the couch. Hmm...so there was something in the bench. Finally i lifted the lid and the thing didnt run away this time. It was a small black cat, that looks EXACTLY like Homie.
She was scared and backed into the corner, so i just gave her food and water and left her there. There was no collar so i wasnt sure if it was mean or what. I started looking for missing cat signs and things, and two ladies came over that afternoon to see if it was theirs. The last lady couldn't tell, so i asked my neighbor to come over and help us get it out so we could see. We finally got her to come to the other side, and Jay just started petting her and just picked her up, only to discover that she was PREGNANT. well, the lady that had come had a boy cat, so we were quite sure it wasnt hers. And to top it off the cat turned out to be the sweetest cat ive ever seen.
So now we have two cats. Homie is NOT happy about it, but i guess he'll just have to get over it. Sophia has decided she is the new kitty's mommy and named her Honey :) We are NOT keeping the kittens, just going to raise them till their old enough and then give them away. Hopefully she doesn't have 7!!
