This Christmas turned out to be a pretty wonderful one. Gigi and Colby were here and we had some great friends and of course we spent Christmas Day at Jake's parents stuffing ourselves with great food!
On Christmas Eve we went to Jake's parents house for dinner and relaxing...we all got our Christmas eve presents, which turned out to be new pillows instead of blankets (i was VERY thankful for this b/c i have no room for any more blankets!!). And then later Jake, Colby, Sophia and I went driving around the neighborhood looking at the lights.

| Sophia got to drive..she was a very happy little girl! |

| My favorite...i think it should've won best decor, but it didn't |
Then we went home and put miss Sophia to bed, and i set up all the stuff for Santa :)
On Christmas morning Sophia was still sick, so she woke up crying. She wanted to lay on the couch and watch her show and was still crying...but when she saw the toys, the crying immediately stopped. She looked at me and said "Mama, please i go play with my stuff Santa got me?"
 |
| Before she even looked at the other stuff...she HAD to put the shoes on! She is definitely a shoe girl. |
 |
| Gigi got a new perfume bottle for her collection :) |
 |
| "Santa brought a lot of stuff Daddy!" |
 |
| Can't even see her, but she's holding the bear up for the camera :) |

Mom and I finished up cooking and then we all headed over to Jake's parents house. Sophia had a ridiculous amount of presents..which took her pretty much all day to open. There were so many presents to open for everyone...but i managed to get a few good pics in the storm of ribbons and bows:

| She opened these first and said "Mama, its just what i wanted in my whole world!!" |
 |

As you may recall, this year Sophia asked for a "laundry kitchen" from Santa. Santa hid it in the office, thinking she might wonder where it was, or even if he brought one for her at all. Nope. Our Sophia did neither. After opening all the presents i had to ask her, "What did you ask Santa for??" of course she just said "All these presents!" SO we reminded her of the kitchen and asked her where it was...she matter-of-factly replied "It must be in grandma's house somewhere!" So we walked into the office, and she sees it and says, "Oh there it is." Obviously Santa would never forget something, and Sophia ALWAYS get EVERYTHING she wants.

| We HAD to try out the meat slicer. It worked! |
 |
| Sophia and Danielle got into some makeup... |
We had a great day. Had Eggs Benedict for breakfast after opening presents...and of course a huge Christmas dinner with Ham and the works. Anthony, Jake and Colby ended up staying the night playing Xbox while Gigi and Sophia and I headed home to clean up and organize all the new stuff. At about 11:30 that night Gigi was relaxing on the couch when CRASH!! Our 10 foot Christmas tree fell over. I wish now i had taken a picture, but i was too worried if anything was broken to think about that at the time! Nothing was broken thank goodness, but had to throw the tree out that night b/c it was just too dry for some reason. A funny ending to a great day!!
